L. C. Anderson Hall at Prairie View A&M University was built in 1933 as a women's dormitory. It is one of a group of 1920s-30s campus buildings recognized together for their role in the history of the state's oldest historically Black public university, founded in 1876 on the former Alta Vista plantation. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999 and later housed the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
