History

Built in 1859 in the now-vanished town of Texana, this frame Presbyterian sanctuary was moved eight miles overland to Edna in 1884 when the congregation relocated, then moved again in 2001 to the Brackenridge complex near Lake Texana, where it was restored. The oldest public building surviving in Jackson County, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1981.
