The Jackson County Courthouse in Edna was built in 1954 to the design of architect F. Perry Johnston, a mid-century modern building whose slurry-faced Roman brick, window bands, and split-faced ledgestone pylon reflect the influence of Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie style. It replaced a domed 1906 Beaux-Arts courthouse.
