This house on W. 26th Street was the home of Dr. William Holt Oliver, a Baylor- and Tulane-trained physician who studied in Europe before establishing Bryan's first hospital in 1913 at Sims Avenue and W. 28th Street. Oliver ran the Bryan Hospital for two decades until his death in 1933. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places among the Historic Resources of Bryan.
