History

Built in 1890 at 304 N. Logan Avenue, this building served as a meeting hall for the local chapter of the Czech-Slovak Protective Society (CSPS), a fraternal insurance organization that supported Czech and Slovak immigrants, and it also housed the Griesser Bakery. Reflecting Bryan's European immigrant heritage, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987 and has since been converted to a single dwelling.
