The Ole and Ann Pierson Farm belongs to the cluster of Norwegian farmsteads in the Norse community northwest of Clifton in Bosque County. Beginning in 1854, Norwegian settlers established what would grow into the largest Norwegian colony west of the Mississippi River, working the land and building homes of stone and log that reflected Old World craft. The Pierson farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 22, 1983.
