The John Pederson Farm is one of the pioneer Norwegian homesteads in the Norse settlement of Bosque County, an area that became known as the Norwegian capital of Texas. Immigrants who arrived after 1854 farmed the land and quarried local limestone for houses, barns, and dry-stacked stone fences, several of which survive on farms like this one. The Pederson farm was entered in the National Register of Historic Places on July 22, 1983.
