History

The Bronstad House stands in the Norse Historic District near Clifton in Bosque County, the center of the largest Norwegian colony in the American Southwest, settled from 1854 onward. It is one of the farmstead properties recorded in the 'Norwegian Settlement of Bosque County' thematic nomination and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
