The Olson-Nelson Farm sits within the historic Norse community north of Clifton, settled from 1854 onward by Norwegian immigrants led into Bosque County by figures such as Cleng Peerson and Ole Canuteson. The Olson and Nelson families were among the many who took up 320-acre grants and built enduring stone-and-log farmsteads on the prairie and creek bottoms. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 22, 1983 as part of the county's Norwegian settlement.
