History
The Brandhagen Houses lie in the Norse Historic District near Clifton in Bosque County, part of the largest Norwegian colony in the American Southwest, settled beginning in 1854. The property is one of roughly four dozen farmsteads, churches, and the Norway Mill documented in the 'Norwegian Settlement of Bosque County' thematic nomination and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
