The Post Office Building in Greenville is a one-story Neoclassical Revival structure built in 1910 under U.S. Treasury Supervising Architect James Knox Taylor, faced in white limestone and red brick with arched stone openings and a mansard roof. Regarded as Greenville's first monumental public building, it is also remembered as the place where Audie Murphy enlisted in the U.S. Army on June 20, 1942. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
