History

This Carpenter Gothic frame church, built in 1901, was the first church building erected in Van Horn and was used by congregations of all faiths until other churches were established. It was recorded as a Texas Historic Landmark in 1964 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978; the building later served a Baptist congregation.
