The Clay County Courthouse in Henrietta was completed in 1884 from designs by Dallas architect W. H. Wilson, built of brick and sandstone in a Classical form with Italianate detailing for about $34,800. Its original bell tower was removed around 1911 and replaced by the domed cupola that tops the building today. The courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
