Bastrop's Old Iron Bridge is a steel Parker through-truss span crossing the Colorado River at the edge of the historic downtown, and it is counted among the town's National Register of Historic Places resources. Built in 1923, it carried highway traffic into Bastrop until it was closed to vehicles in the early 1990s and converted into a pedestrian and bicycle walkway within the city's park system. It is remembered as one of the earliest surviving uses of the Parker truss form in Texas.
