Designed in an Art Deco/Moderne style and constructed in smooth-faced limestone with a granite base. It is a symmetrical three-story structure with basement. The building's central mass is flanked by projecting two-story wings united by a signle-story entryway containing three arched openings. The building features simplified but prominent classical details and several low-relief carvings depicting agricultural scenes.

The Young County Courthouse in Graham, the county's third, was completed in 1932 to a Moderne design by Fort Worth architects G. E. Withers and Jesse Thompson. It replaced an 1884 native-sandstone courthouse built by Irish stonemasons under chief mason N. J. Rosenquist, of which only an archway survives; that older building was razed in 1932.
