History

The Fred and Annie Snyder House at 2701 19th Street in Lubbock is a Colonial Revival residence built in 1928 for cattleman Fred Snyder, who wanted his six children to attend Lubbock schools and Texas Tech. Built by Sylvan B. Haynes on a prominent lot in the Ellwood Addition near the Tech campus, the house reflects the popularity of the Colonial Revival style on the South Plains. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
