The Tubbs-Carlisle House at 602 Fulton Avenue is one of the few surviving Queen Anne-style houses in Lubbock, built of East Texas lumber hauled in by rail and wagon between 1907 and 1908. Reportedly modeled after a house Texana Tubbs admired in a magazine, it features steeply pitched roofs, fish-scale gable shingles, and gingerbread scrollwork. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
