History

The former First Church of Christ, Scientist stands at 339 West Kaufman Street in Paris and was built around 1912 in the Classical Revival style. It is a one-story raised brick building fronted by a portico of Ionic columns beneath a broad entablature, with tall arched windows along its sides. Vacant when it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, the building was later used by a Spanish-speaking Baptist congregation.
