Built in three phases and completed in 1897, it combines Romanesque Revival and Chateauesque forms, with pink granite columns imported from Italy. Listed on the National Register in 1975 and designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1962, the mansion now houses the Hill Country Museum.
