Davies completed the stone building that fall for $2,600, with the Guthrie Hotel operating on the second floor. Later tenants included Kerrville's City Hall (1910-1937) and the Wheelus Photographic Company (1921-1960). A Texas Historical Commission marker was placed in 2007.
