The Guadalupe County Courthouse in Seguin, the county's third, was completed in 1935-1936 with Public Works Administration funding, replacing a nineteenth-century courthouse by Alfred Giles. Architects L. M. Wirtz and Harold Calhoun designed the three-story building of smooth sandstone, steel and concrete in the Moderne style, with Art Deco detailing carried into the interior. It continues to serve as the seat of Guadalupe County government.
