The Captain Barton Peck House near Goliad, built in 1852, is a two-story block-like residence with a pedimented two-story porch supported by paired columns, set atop a rise overlooking the San Antonio River amid mature live oaks. It was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
