The Calhoun County Courthouse in Port Lavaca, completed in 1959, is a mid-century modern building designed by Rustay and Martin of Houston and distinguished by porcelain-enameled aluminum curtain-wall panels. It is the county's fifth courthouse, following earlier seats at Lavaca, Indianola, and Port Lavaca — including a 1911 building by W. Chamberlain & Company. It was rehabilitated in 2006 by Bailey Architects.
