History

The Greenleaf Fisk House at 418 Milton Avenue in Brownwood was the home of Greenleaf Fisk (1807-1888), a pioneer known as the "Father of Brownwood" who donated the land for the relocated Brown County seat. Designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1968, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 25, 2004.
