The Gunarus and Ingerborg Shefstad House is one of the surviving Norwegian-immigrant dwellings in the Norse settlement of Bosque County. The Shefstads were part of the community that grew from the 1854 arrival of Norwegian families and made the Clifton area the largest Norwegian colony in the American West. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 22, 1983.
