History
The Elbert S. Orgain House stands at 1704 Main Street in Bastrop and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 22, 1978. It is a contributing residence in the 'Historic and Architectural Resources of Bastrop' nomination and one of two Orgain-family houses in the district. The Orgains were among Bastrop's established families of the 1800s.
