Reid's Prairie Baptist Church in Waller County was organized on August 24, 1890, by seventeen members who first met at the nearby Myrtle Grove schoolhouse. The congregation worshiped in the school until its own church building was completed in 1895 along the Navasota Stage Road. The site was recorded as a Texas historic landmark in 1965.
