The Adrian Building in McCamey dates from the town's early years as an oil boomtown that sprang up after major petroleum discoveries in Upton County in the 1920s. The 1915-era Adrian House, a Western bungalow, survives among the community's historic structures preserved at the Mendoza Trail Museum alongside an early Santa Fe Railroad depot. A state historical marker was placed in McCamey in 1964.
