The Mifflin Kenedy Warehouse, a two-story brick building at Water and Texas streets in Rio Grande City, was built about 1850 and served as a distribution and holding center for the Rio Grande steamboat trade. From roughly 1874 until about 1885 it functioned as the Starr County Courthouse, and it later housed municipal offices and the municipal court. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
