The Rusk County Courthouse in Henderson was built in 1928 to a design by the architects Curtis & Thomas, a two-story building blending Classical Revival and Art Deco influences. It replaced an 1879 Italianate courthouse by Frederick E. Ruffini, which was demolished in 1928. The courthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995 as a contributing resource in the Henderson Commercial Historic District.
