This Lampasas residence was built in 1877 for banker W. N. Huling during the town's growth as a mineral-springs resort. Mrs. Huling, the daughter of a local banker, was a cousin of Andrew Mellon, later U.S. Secretary of the Treasury. The State Historical Survey Committee marked the home in 1965.
