History

Built in 1884 as a mission of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, this is regarded as the first Protestant church between San Antonio and El Paso. It has served the Fort Davis community for well over a century as the Fort Davis United Methodist Church. A Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, its state marker was placed in 1962.
