Organized 1858 by W. M. Pickett and Benj. Watson. The charter members were Thos. Hooker, first pastor; Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Simpson; N. T. Featherston; Jane Pitts; Harriet Lively; and Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
