A. J. Wright began this Granbury house about 1873 as a one-story limestone dogtrot dwelling; James F. Henderson added a second floor and Victorian galleries after acquiring it in 1881, and Charles M. Duncan's family later helped preserve it. Notably, all three principal owners served as sheriff of Hood County. The house, at 703 Spring Street, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
