A wide central bay features double height Ionic pilasters with an entry overhang supported by decorative corbels. The parapet features a faux balustrade and distinguished corners.

The Hockley County Courthouse in Levelland was built in 1928 in the Renaissance Revival style to a design by architect Preston Lee Walker. The three-story cream-limestone building features Ionic engaged columns that create a two-story loggia effect on the upper floors, along with a classical cornice and roof balustrade. It replaced a first courthouse built in 1921, the year before the town's name was changed to Levelland.
