History

Banker Lloyd G. Johnson and his wife Katherine built this San Marcos residence in 1919–1920 to a design by noted San Antonio architect Atlee B. Ayres, combining informal Mediterranean-style elements with classical detailing on a symmetrical plan. It was entered in the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
