History

Built in 1893 by contractor J. Pierce Caldwell, the Caldwell House at 619 Maury Street is the best-preserved example in San Marcos of the one-story, L-shaped Victorian house form. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 within the Historic Resources of San Marcos nomination.
