This small two-story stone building was Glasscock County's earlier courthouse, standing on the same square in Garden City. After the present Glasscock County Courthouse was completed in 1909-1910, the older building was used as the county jail and it is now closed. It is included in the National Register of Historic Places listing for the Glasscock County Courthouse and Jail, which was added to the register in 2011.
