The Crockett County Courthouse in Ozona was built in 1902 in the Second Empire style to a design by San Angelo architect Oscar Ruffini, using limestone quarried from local estates, at an estimated cost of about $30,000. In its early decades the two-story building also served as a community center for social events and weekly dances. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
