This Parker through-truss bridge carried US 83 over the Salt Fork of the Red River near Wellington in Collingsworth County. Built in 1939 by the Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Co. for the Texas Highway Department, it stood near the 1933 spot where Bonnie and Clyde's car plunged into the river during a near-capture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996 and demolished in 2012 after a replacement bridge was completed.
