History

The Lumpkin Building in Meridian was erected in 1884 and is recognized as the first stone commercial building constructed in the Bosque County seat. Located at 101 Main Street across from the courthouse, it now houses the Bosque County Collection, a local history research center. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
