History

The Tom and Martha Rogstad Farm is part of the Norwegian settlement of Bosque County, the largest Norwegian colony west of the Mississippi River. The Rogstads were among the immigrant families who farmed the rolling land west of Clifton in the second half of the 19th century, building the stone and log structures characteristic of the Norse district. The farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 22, 1983.
