History
The Henry G. Temple House at 501 Hines Road in Diboll reflects the town's origins as a company sawmill town. Diboll was founded in 1894 when Thomas Lewis Latane Temple established the Southern Pine Lumber Company, and the Temple family remained central to the community's development. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 22, 1988, under the Historic Resources of Angelina County.
